''The History of the Russian Revolution'' by Leon Trotsky is a monumental three-volume historical masterwork published in 1930 that chronicles the seismic political upheavals of 1917. Trotsky drafted the entire massive work within a year while living in political exile on the Turkish island of Prinkipo. This followed his expulsion from the Soviet Union by Joseph Stalin.
