The Complete Works of A. A. Milne. The Novels. The Children´s Books. The Short Story. The Plays. Illustrated Edition (100 Books)

This comprehensive illustrated collection brings together the full literary legacy of A.A. Milne, one of the most versatile and beloved English writers of the twentieth century. Best known worldwide as the creator of Winnie-the-Pooh, Milne was in fact a remarkably prolific author who moved effortlessly between genres - from whimsical children's verse to detective fiction, from West End comedies to sharp-witted essays. This edition gathers roughly a hundred works spanning his entire career, offering readers a rare opportunity to explore the full breadth of his imagination beyond the Hundred Acre Wood.

At the heart of the collection stand Milne's timeless children's classics: Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner, along with the poetry collections When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six, which introduced Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and their friends to generations of readers. Alongside these beloved favorites, the volume includes Milne's accomplished novels for adult readers, most notably The Red House Mystery, a masterfully constructed detective story that helped define the golden age of English mystery fiction, as well as Mr. Pim, Two People, and Chloe Marr. His short story collections and numerous stage plays - including the enormously successful Mr. Pim Passes By and his celebrated adaptation Toad of Toad Hall - reveal the sharp dialogue and comic timing that made him one of the most performed playwrights of his era.

Rounding out the collection are Milne's essays, light verse, and multi-volume autobiography, offering intimate insight into the life and mind behind the fiction. Complete with illustrations that capture the charm of the original editions, this anthology is an essential treasure for longtime admirers of Pooh and newcomers alike, revealing Milne as a writer of extraordinary range, wit, and enduring humanity.
