Borrowed Honeymoon
Priya Nair's sister eloped two weeks before a non-refundable honeymoon in Sardinia. Priya went anyway. She planned to swim, drink cheap white wine, and be gloriously alone.
The villa has other ideas. So does Matteo Serra, the owner's son, who arrives with a clipboard, a clause about double occupancy, and no intention of leaving.
Fourteen days. One villa. One hundred and forty square meters of polished floor, bad plumbing and grout arguments. He criticises her cooking. She's a food stylist. He rearranges her sunbed. She hides his shoes. He is also, she discovers on day six, hiding something in the walls - something his mother left, something worth more to him than the building they're both standing in.
Priya could leave. She offers to help instead. It will take them eleven days to find it, one storm to lose it, and one flooded kitchen to admit they've both been counting the days wrong.
An enemies to lovers, forced proximity, foodie contemporary romance.
