Gwendolyn Southin, née en Angleterre et installée au Canada après avoir vécu à Montréal, est l'auteure de la série policière *Les Enquêtes de Margaret Spencer*. Longtemps impliquée dans les cercles d'écrivains et les ateliers d'écriture, elle a également contribué à l'organisation de festivals littéraires dans sa communauté.
